VMS Racing has done it again with the highest quality Honda/Acura B-Series timing belt tensioner.
The Honda/Acura B-Series engines have a tendency to at high RPM have a high amount of belt flap along the long front side of the timing belt. This excessive slack has been know to cause the skipping one or more teeth on the cam gears. At best a skipped tooth will end your day at the track because of loss of power, but at worse it can result in piston to valve contact causing disastrous engine failure. This can easily be prevented by installing the VMS Racing B-Series Billet Timing Belt Tensioner which will properly support the front side of the timing belt. The VMS Tensioner boltsdirectly to the stock Honda block. It replaces the lower power steering bracket.
All components are CNC machined from T6061 billet aluminum, making for a lightweight and super strong piece.
VMS is exclusive in their inclusion of ALL Stainless Steel hardware. No corrosion issues here!
The pulley features a special coating to reduce friction and prevent belt wear. The tensioner is fully adjustable both horizontally and vertically.
Please note: Since this bolts where the power steering bracket is, the tensioner will only fit if the factory power steering system is deleted.
