TEGIWA Carbon Airbox. Specifically designed for the Civic Type R and manufactured from carbon fibre. This kit gives excellent performance gains over the original Civic EP3 setup and an immense induction noise. The kit also looks great in the engine bay! It is supplied complete with all fixings/brackets for an OEM quality fit. The filter is a cotton mesh filter. The intake is likely to give you between 5-10bhp without mapping and with mapping upto 15bhp peak and much improved mid-range. It also weighs 240 grams less than our gloss intake kit too!
Including special breather hose (silicone rubber).
Although this airbox is made to fix right hand drive vehicles, it is possible to fix to a left hand drive vehicle with some modifications. For best results please ensure that modifications are made by a professional and note that we can not accept returns for the airbox if the kit has been modified, damaged during installation or showing signs of being fitted.
The modifications to create space for the airbox are as follows:
- Relocate the fuse box slightly to the left to make room for the brake fluid reservoir.
- Extend the 2 hoses and bracket for the brake fluid reservoir and move the reservoir forwards.
- Remove a small corner from the scoop for the left windscreen wiper.
