We've enhanced our OEM replacement thermostat housing rear to accommodate applications utilizing aftermarket heater systems, where the original formed metal tube may not be suitable. The modification involves replacing the original counter-bored hole for the push-fit heater hose with an ORB10 threaded hole. This adjustment provides users with the flexibility to adapt any heater hose to the housing. As part of the kit, we include an ORB10 port plug for instances where the heater hose is not utilized. Additionally, we include an ORB10 to AN10 male adapter for use of AN fittings for the heater circuit.
Introducing our full CNC machined billet K20 Thermostat Housing Rear half, this is a beautiful crafted like for like replacement of the original Honda part: 19320-PNA-003. As the original plastic housings age, they become susceptible to cracking, distortion, and leaks due to the effects of time and numerous heat cycles. Our housing offers a durable alternative, seamlessly compatible with all original hoses, including the thermostat bypass, metal heater hose, and either an original thermostat or our own billet version for a comprehensive upgrade. Maintaining precise alignment with OEM specifications, including mounting points, hose locations, and thermostat mounting faces, this housing functions identically to the original piece, but without the drawbacks of the original.
To design this component, we 3D laser scanned a brand new, prestine, original housing to capture precise OEM dimensions, we then reverse engineered the part to obtain datums, critical measurements and features prior to drawing the part to make it suitable for a completely different manufacturing process; 3D CNC machining. This preliminary information guided us in transforming the design to align with the requirements of an entirely distinct manufacturing method—3D CNC machining. Extensive effort was dedicated to refining the design, ensuring that every aspect could be seamlessly machined while preserving each key feature in its original position. This meticulous approach was undertaken to guarantee a flawless fit, finish, and function of the final product. Please be aware that the production of this part from solid billet necessitates a significant amount of machine time.
