Nippon racing p30 pistons are heat treated and come with a ceramic hard anodized surface down
to the second ring groove to improve heat dissipation especially with the use of nitrous.
Nippon racing p30 piston kits come with 4 cryogenically heat treated 21mm wrist pins and teflon coated skirts.
All nippon racing pistons sets are weight matched to +/- 1 gram.
Nippon racing pistons have deeper valve pockets than traditional p30 pistons to allow use of aftermarket performance camshafts up to stage 3.
These are true high performance racing pistons with a horsepower rating of 600 hp.
Nippon Racing Pistons are made using 2618 alloy and a proprietary centrifugal spin casting process.
As well as a 6 step heat treatment process to insure a piston as hard as many forged pistons, but with a mush lower expansion rate.
Meaning that they will out preform OEM pistons by as much as 300% with prolonged engine life.

The difference between P30 and PR3 pistons is that the PR3's are used in the first generation B16A engines in Japan, Europe and USA (B16A1 in europe) and the P30 has a higher dome, wich results in a higher compression ratio (about 0.2+) and are being used in for example the JDM gen 2 B16A engines.
