MFactory Final Drive (Honda B16B/18C engines)

MFactory Final Drive Gears. Final drive gears are cut from high quality fully-carburized forged nickel-chromoly steel while also benefitting from a proprietary heat treatment process. As a result we are proud to offer enthusiasts the best final drive gears on the market today. By changing you final drive gear ratios, you can experience a dramatic increase in acceleration, giving you on average a 10-15% increase in torque throughout the entire rev-range over the OEM final drive.

Made from imported Japanese steel these final drives are 'forged' and 'cryo-tempered' for unsurpassed toughness. As used on several Championship winning race cars. When installing your MFactory Final Drive, only use Torco Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF). This is the only oil MFactory recommend.

What is the difference between the street and Pro series of the final drives?

Originally, the PRO Series were using a different material than the Street Series, but other companies came onto the market and started offering the same ratios that Mfactory had been, confusing customers and making them ask "why pay the premium for the MFactory Brand?"

So, to answer this question, Mfactory decided to change the manufacturing on their Street Series. There is only so much processing you can do to a base material to improve its properties, so the only answer Mfactory found appropriate for their loyal customers was to change the base material to the same core as the PRO Series.

The Street Series still goes through the same core treatments that the PRO Series goes through (forging, tempering, carburization etc), but the PRO Series takes this further after the core treatments and adds a few other treatments to the process to make them stronger and more applicable to the 1000whp cars people have running them.

PLEASE NOTE: EDM S80 LSD transmission has a different Final drive than the JDM 96 spec B18C S80 LSD and JDM B16B S4C LSD transmission.
