As part of our expanding Honda product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our induction kit upgrade aimed at modified Honda Civic FL5 Type R owners who want to improve the performance of their car with a simple, bolt-on modification for track or fast road use.
This freer-flowing induction kit replaces the car’s original air box and restrictive intake set up. It features a large, cotton AIRTEC Motorsport filter that significantly improves the car’s breathing by increasing the amount of air it can take in, therefore increasing power, performance and sound, thanks to a louder induction note.
The filter is protected from warm air within the engine bay by a laser-cut heatshield that’s fitted with a rubber trim help it seal against the bonnet, whilst the original front air feed is utilised to provide a constant flow of fresh, cold air towards the filter.
Made from high-quality aluminium, the replacement intake pipe offers a more direct route to the turbo and features CNC-machined bosses to allow the original Honda O-ring and fittings to be reused.
The comprehensive kit is finished in powder-coated black and the MAF cable clips also locate in the same way from underneath, providing a neat and subtle OEM+ look to improve the appearance of the engine bay. It also comes with Pro Hoses silicone connector, all fixtures and fittings as well as detailed installation instructions.
Its improved air flow, performance, sound and visual gains, as well as its straight-forward fitment make it an essential modification for all modified Honda Civic FL5 Type R models.
